On my Pinterest I have a board called "Tried and True". It includes the recipes I've tried on Pinterest that are definitely worth making again. Once in a while, I'll make a recipe from Pinterest that didn't turn out well. The image looked great, but the recipe wasn't. I'm really particular when it comes to saving recipes to my tried and true Pinterest board. It literally had to be mouth watering for me to save it. Since I've tried SO many recipes on Pinterest, I'm sharing below some of my tried and true favorites for you to enjoy as well!
Bananas are a staple on our weekly grocery list. Lance and I can't get enough of them, but some weeks we have a few that go brown, and we'll toss them in the freezer to save for when we make our favorite Chocolate Chip Banana Bread. We've made this banana bread recipe a lot! It's SO good with the chocolate chips, and I'm a huge fan of walnuts - so I always add them in when I have them, but we've made the banana bread without walnuts as well. The best part is the bites of thinly sliced bananas you get throughout the bread. There's something about banana and chocolate together that I absolutely love.
I never really knew what quiche was until a few years ago but now it's one of my favorite breakfasts. If your unsure what quiche is, like I was, it's a savory custard made with eggs, milk, veggies, meat and/or fresh herbs. Since I eat breakfast everyday at work, I'm always looking for something I [...]
Valentine's Day is right around the corner, and I usually make a special dessert. Whether it's cheesecake, chocolate covered strawberry's or sugar cookies, I love having a treat to look forward to while celebrating. This year, I thought dressing up sugar cookies would be really fun to make, especially since I saw these cute Valentine's [...]
Roast chicken is a classic meal. There's something so satisfying about your house smelling unbelievably good and the dinner tasting even better. I know now that roast chicken is easy enough to make for a weeknight meal, but truthfully I was always a little intimidated by it. Not only for the fact that I had [...]
I first became introduced to this recipe by my twin sister, Emily. She was attending a "Soup and Chili Gathering" and each person was to bring a soup or chili dish. Emily texted me what she was going to make, and instantly I was checking out the recipe. At that point I never had chicken [...]
I love waffles that are a little crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I received a waffle maker as a gift a couple of years ago and have finally found my go-to recipe. Waffles are really easy to whip up, and I love accompanying my fluffy and delicious waffles with fresh fruit [...]
Breakfast is a meal I always have, but it used to be my least favorite meal of the day. I used to have either some cereal or instant oatmeal or just grab a granola bar and maybe a piece of fruit. Now I feel it's become the opposite. I really love to make a green smoothie, [...]
Winter is here and that means I make a lot of soup. I love how soup warms you from the inside out. Warm and welcoming this Winter Minestrone will cure those cold and blustery winter days. I made a big pot of this soup over the weekend in my dutch oven. This recipe makes a [...]
Granola is one of my favorite snacks. I usually have plain greek yogurt just about everyday, so I like to add a couple of toppings to my yogurt to mix it up. The toppings vary a bit depending on what fruit I have or if I want a drizzle of honey or maple, but this [...]
