I'm so excited for everything I have coming up this month! There's a lot of local events like a flower arrangement workshop, restaurant week and a book recommendation gathering I'm attending. It feels good to get out of the house an enjoy some fresh air, friends and local food!
Spring has arrived and it's woken me up from this funk I was in for a while. The weather was getting a bit depressing to be honest. I'm a winter person through and through (it's my favorite season), but spring couldn't come fast enough this year! In the Adirondacks we label spring as 'mud season', which is true, but there's so much more to spring than rain, mud and mild temps. Spring brings a new season, fresh beginnings, outdoor hikes, preparing the gardens, grilling, fresh bouquets of flowers and so much more. Here's my list for my top 10 ways to refresh for spring.
Happy Friday friends! I hope everyone had a great week. I couldn't wait to share this blog post with you today! I've been loving tassel earrings lately, and every time I get on Instagram I always see at least a couple of people wearing the cutest ones! Grace from thestripe.com has a really easy tutorial on her blog on how to make your own DIY Tassel Earrings which is what I used making mine.
I thought it would be fun to share 10 facts about Lance's and my relationship since today marks exactly 4 months until we get married! How crazy that in just 4 short months I'll be Mrs. Leclair 😉 Lance and I have been dating for almost 2 years. We met in July 2016. I love telling you guys about Lance and me. It's a fun way for you to get to know us, and I'm excited to tell you all about our wedding updates which is coming to the blog soon!
April is a really quiet month for Lance and me. I don't think we have a single thing planned, and I'm really looking forward to some relaxing nights after work. This month I'm looking forward to starting my nightly walks, learning a few photography skills, working on some upcoming blog projects, watching one of my favorite TV shows that's coming back on and more!
Last week I loved reminiscing about Lance's and my beach vacation to Cape Cod. Today I'm sharing Part 2 of our travel guide. Since it was our first time to the cape, we decided to split our week between 2 towns. The beginning part of the week we stayed in Falmouth, and the second half we stayed in South Yarmouth. The last bit of our trip was so relaxing. We lounged on beach chairs by the ocean soaking up the sun. I'm sharing our time spent in South Yarmouth - including the best seafood restaurants we ate at!
We're getting another Nor'easter next week, and after the previous 2 we just had, I'm ready for a beach vaca. I thought this would be the perfect time to share part 1 of my Cape Cod Travel Guide. I'm so excited to share this post because Lance and I had the best time in Cape Cod! It was both our first time visiting, so we really didn't know what to expect. Not only did we love driving around the most charming neighborhoods, lounging on some of the most beautiful beaches and eating our way through the best seafood we've ever had, Cape Cod is also where we got engaged!
Lance and I are getting married on August 18 - just over 5 months away. (I can't wait for our big day!) However, we still have so much planning to do! We're having a very small wedding, with just our parents and siblings. Lance and I both wanted an intimate and personal ceremony and reception. Our ceremony will take place at a private residence in Keene and our reception will be held at the Lake Placid Lodge. Since I was an event planner for 8 years, planning our wedding has been so much fun!
I'm excited for today’s post because it’s about something that I absolutely love – Book Club! Starting a book club was something that I thought about doing for a while. It’s no secret that I love to read, and my friends read similar books. We always talk about a really good book we are reading, or we borrow each other’s books for our next read. Last summer I finally decided to start a book club, and now I wish I would have started one a lot sooner. I look forward to it every single month. It’s a great way to make sure we all get together to catch up, plus there’s always so much good food and wine! I wanted to share with you how I started my book club, and I’ve included some tips if you are looking to create your own!
It's no secret that I love to read so much that I even started a book club last summer. In book club we have been taking turns choosing a book to read for the month. I love getting exposed to books I haven't heard of or that I wouldn't normally pick up. It's made book [...]
