Sunday Night Cooking Series Recipes

Lance and I have been having so much fun doing our Sunday night cooking series! We’ve had some pretty amazing dinners, and I really want to share what I thought of each recipe with you guys. If your not familiar, Lance and I pick out a recipe to make on Sunday nights, either one we’ve made before or one that’s new to us. We video the process of us prepping dinner, and then I post it on social media. We do this as a way to get more of the recipes we love out to everyone. Lance and I cook a lot, and I wish I could post every recipe on the blog, so the videos are another fun way to show more of the recipes we make. I’m gathering all of the Sunday night recipes we’ve made (so far) and sharing them below.

This was the very first recipe we made for our Sunday night cooking series. I was craving ramen noodles but wanted something different than what you buy at the grocery store. Lance, at the time, had never even had raman before (weird, I know!), so he was interested in trying out a recipe too. We chose to make the Spricy Shrimp Ramen Bowls from the blog, Butter Your Biscuit. This recipe is loaded with shrimp and veggies and has the most amazing broth. I loved the fresh squeeze of lime and cilantro that’s added at the end for some freshness. Honestly this recipe is so good that I may not even look for another ramen recipe.

Lance’s mom got me the new Pioneer Women Cookbook for my birthday which I was really excited about. Lance and I made the Stuffed Bell Peppers, and they were so good! These one’s had zucchini in them which I’ve never had before in stuffed bell peppers, but I loved it. The pepper jack cheese added a nice kick too. Ree’s recipes definitely don’t disappoint. If you’re looking for a healthy dinner, you’ll love this one!

The easiest (and best) Chicken Enchiladas ever! I took a cooking class at Carriage House Cooking School. You may have been my blog post where I talked about my experience. I learned a lot in a short amount of time from Chef Curtiss. One of the recipes we made, and maybe my favorite, was the Chicken Enchiladas. One tip I learned was to dip the flour tortillas into a bowl of chicken stock as that helps them become more pliable when rolling the tortillas up. I love this experience. It was definitely an afternoon well spent. I’ve linked the Carriage House Cooking School website below incase anyone is interested in signing up for a cooking class.

Sunday Night Cooking Series

It was a long winter, so soup was on rotation a lot. We made this broccoli cheddar soup one Sunday with homemade biscuits. I love soup, it’s such a comforting meal. We used an immersion blender at the end to blend up the broccoli a bit, but you don’t need to if you don’t have one. I highly recommend this recipe and the blogger, Cooking Classy. She has awesome recipes and is one of my go-to bloggers when I’m looking for some inspiration.

One of our all time favorite recipes! We’ve made this recipe a bunch, but the first time we made it I invited Lance over for dinner for the first time when I was still living at my apartment. I was so nervous and had no idea to make. My older sister, Chira, recommended this shrimp dish to make. This dish is everything! If your looking for a recipe for company, they will definitely be impressed with this one!

A few other recipes we’ve made are Chicken Parmesan and Chicken and Broccoli Alfredo. One thing about me is that I hardly ever make a recipe a second time unless it’s crazy good. All the recipes above I would make over and over again. That’s how much I recommend them. I’ve gotten some messages from people who I’ve inspired of pictures of the recipes above which is so exciting to me! I love hearing from you and seeing the recipes you’ve made from watching the videos or seeing my posts! I hope you all have a great week. I can’t believe it’s almost May but spring has finally arrived, and I’m so happy about that!
