Last week I loved reminiscing about Lance’s and my beach vacation to Cape Cod. Today I’m sharing Part 2 of our travel guide. Since it was our first time to the cape, we decided to split our week between 2 towns. The beginning part of the week we stayed in Falmouth, and the second half we stayed in South Yarmouth. The last bit of our trip was so relaxing. We lounged on beach chairs by the ocean soaking up the sun. I’m sharing our time spent in South Yarmouth – including the best seafood restaurants we ate at!View Post
Lately it feels like Spring will never arrive. We’ve had 2 Nor’easter’s this month, the temperature has been in the negatives at night and there’s still a couple of feet of snow on the ground. I thought for sure we would get an early Spring but living in New York you never know what to expect!
On my Pinterest I have a board called “Tried and True”. It includes the recipes I’ve tried on Pinterest that are definitely worth making again. Once in a while, I’ll make a recipe from Pinterest that didn’t turn out well. The image looked great, but the recipe wasn’t. I’m really particular when it comes to saving recipes to my tried and true Pinterest board. It literally had to be mouth watering for me to save it. Since I’ve tried SO many recipes on Pinterest, I’m sharing below some of my tried and true favorites for you to enjoy as well!View Post
We’re getting another Nor’easter next week, and after the previous 2 we just had, I’m ready for a beach vaca. I thought this would be the perfect time to share part 1 of my Cape Cod Travel Guide. I’m so excited to share this post because Lance and I had the best time in Cape Cod! It was both our first time visiting, so we really didn’t know what to expect. Not only did we love driving around the most charming neighborhoods, lounging on some of the most beautiful beaches and eating our way through the best seafood we’ve ever had, Cape Cod is also where we got engaged!
The one piece of clothing I know that will match absolutely everything in my closet is my trench coat. It makes every outfit feel effortlessly put together. No matter if I’m running an errand with a messy bun, ripped jeans and flats or if I’m heading to work with my hair curled, a dress and heels, wearing my trench coat is the perfect coat for any style or occasion. It’s one of the best investment pieces I’ve purchased, already lasting me a few years. I styled it with a black button up shirt, dark denim jeans and knee high boots. I would wear this outfit out to dinner with friends or a casual day at the office.
Bananas are a staple on our weekly grocery list. Lance and I can’t get enough of them, but some weeks we have a few that go brown, and we’ll toss them in the freezer to save for when we make our favorite Chocolate Chip Banana Bread. We’ve made this banana bread recipe a lot! It’s SO good with the chocolate chips, and I’m a huge fan of walnuts – so I always add them in when I have them, but we’ve made the banana bread without walnuts as well. The best part are the bites of thinly sliced bananas you get throughout the bread. There’s something about banana and chocolate together that I absolutely love.
Lance and I are getting married on August 18 – just over 5 months away. (I can’t wait for our big day!) However, we still have so much planning to do! We’re having a very small wedding, with just our parents and siblings. Lance and I both wanted an intimate and personal ceremony and reception. Our ceremony will take place at a private residence in Keene and our reception will be held at the Lake Placid Lodge. Since I was an event planner for 8 years, planning our wedding has been so much fun!View Post
When I start reaching for this jacket, I know Spring is around the corner. I drift from my winter neutrals and begin to gravitate towards some colorful pieces in my wardrobe. This chartreuse jacket is one of my favorites. It’s a color you don’t see too often, and I like how it really sets it apart from the other jackets I own. The chartreuse color really makes a statement – it’s eye catching plus brings a fresh look to a new season.
I’m excited for today’s post because it’s about something that I absolutely love – Book Club! Starting a book club was something that I thought about doing for a while. It’s no secret that I love to read, and my friends read similar books. We always talk about a really good book we are reading, or we borrow each other’s books for our next read. Last summer I finally decided to start a book club, and now I wish I would have started one a lot sooner. I look forward to it every single month. It’s a great way to make sure we all get together to catch up, plus there’s always so much good food and wine! I wanted to share with you how I started my book club, and I’ve included some tips if you are looking to create your own!
I never really knew what quiche was until a few years ago but now it’s one of my favorite breakfasts. If your unsure what quiche is, like I was, it’s a savory custard made with eggs, milk, veggies, meat and/or…View Post
