I thought it would be fun to share 10 facts about Lance’s and my relationship since today marks exactly 4 months until we get married! How crazy that in just 4 short months I’ll be Mrs. Leclair 😉 Lance and I have been dating for almost 2 years. We met in July 2016. I love telling you guys about Lance and me. Swedish Meatballs are something I’ve never made before, but I’ve had them as appetizers at get togethers . So when I hosted book club last weekend, I decided to make them. I have a few of The Pioneer Woman’s cookbooks and saw this Swedish Meatball recipe. She uses homemade meatballs, and before I would have wanted to as well, but the meatballs I got from the freezer section in the store were just as good! If you have frozen homemade meatballs at home you can use those instead! We had them at book club as an appetizer, and then the next day I boiled some egg noodles and topped with leftover Swedish Meatballs and some fresh parsley. This recipe took around 20 minutes to make. It’s perfect for a weeknight meal or a quick appetizer to make.

You can never have too many pairs of shoes! They are my favorite way to pull an outfit together. When I’m done getting ready and step into a pair of shoes I just feel my whole look is complete. I’ve been getting more experimental with my shoe choices and within the last year I bought a pair of espadrille wedges, pink Adidas sneakers, ankle length rain boots, and blush loafers to add to my collection. There are so many cute styles I’m eyeing this spring from gingham sandals, perforated mules, espadrille wedges and more!

In the spring I like to add layers to my outfits. Early in the morning when I head to work, it’s still chilly enough that I need to throw on a jacket before I head out the door. Although it’s on the cooler side, I tend to wear a lighter jacket, since I know by the afternoon it usually warms up about 20 degrees. This green military jacket is one of my most worn pieces. It’s lightweight and can be styled all different ways.

On Saturday I hosted book club and made this Baked Spinach Artichoke Dip for everyone. It was so good!! I knew it was going to be a winner when I pulled it out of the oven and it was all bubbly and cheesy. I couldn’t wait to dig into it! I served the Spinach Artichoke Dip alongside baguette slices and corn chips.

April is a really quiet month for Lance and me. I don’t think we have a single thing planned, and I’m really looking forward to some relaxing nights after work. This month I’m looking forward to starting my nightly walks, learning a few photography skills, working on some upcoming blog projects, watching one of my favorite TV shows that’s coming back on and more!

Last week my sister, Chira, posted a picture of S’mores Cupcakes on her Facebook page. It was my nephew, Evan’s, 10th birthday, and Chira made them to bring to Evan’s classroom to celebrate. S’mores are one of my favorite desserts. I love the combo of graham crackers, melted chocolate and gooey marshmallow. They are such a staple dessert in the summer. These cupcakes are a nice alternative when you can’t toast the marshmallow outside over a fire. For these cupcakes, you have a chocolate cupcake topped with fluffy marshmallow frosting and a sprinkle of graham cracker crumbs.

I hope everyone had a great Easter! We spent ours checking out a new spot, The Deer’s Head Inn, having brunch with close friends. Then Lance and I headed over to his parents for dinner. I made a few desserts to bring including a Lemon Pie and Chocolate Chip Cookies. Both desserts were SO good! It was a really fun weekend, and I’m lucky to have such a close group of friends and family to spend Easter with.

Joanna Gaines Lemon Pie recipe is by far one of the best recipes I’ve made to date. I came across it while skimming through the Magnolia magazine last spring, and I instantly knew this was the dessert I was making for Easter dinner. I’m so glad I did because this dish was a hit! It’s light, refreshing and so easy to make. The rustic simplicity of this pie is stunning. There’s something I love about recipes that are simple to make and require only a handful of ingredients. They’re the recipes that come out unbelievably good, and the ones I make over and over again.

I can’t believe it’s the last week of March! Easter is right around the corner, and I’ve been looking for a cute outfit to wear. There’s so many good options, and I wanted to share my picks with you guys! I’ve been loving jumpsuits lately, and I’ve included one below. This time of year in New York it’s really hit or miss weather wise, and wearing a jumpsuit with a light jacket would be perfect if it was on the chillier side. I don’t wear dresses that often because we have cold weather 6-7 months out of the year. #NewYorkWinters However, last year I remember Easter was a little later, and I got to wear one of my favorite dresses. It was such a perfect spring day!
